Ted Williams, the Splendid Splinter, was a remarkable baseball player and dedicated to his country. He is most known for his performance at the plate; he remains the last players to exceed the .400 mark! He held numerous batting titles, plus two Triple Crowns. Ted is one of two to every have won it twice! But it was his work outside of the ballpark that Ted took pride in. He served in both WWII and the Korean War, ending as a pilot and captain.
